Book drain camera inspection

Step 1 of 2

We push a high-resolution camera through the drain line with a locator wand and record the full run on video. We mark anything that matters: roots at clay-tile joints, sags, offset couplings, breaks, and scaling. Then we send you a written summary with the footage. The recording is useful for real-estate diligence, contractor scoping, or a second opinion. If repair is needed, we quote it separately and there’s no pressure to use us for it.

A standard camera inspection takes about an hour on site, including locating the line and walking you through what we see. Most residential inspections run $250–$450. If the line needs clearing first so the camera can pass through, drain-cleaning time is added, quoted before any work starts.

  • 06 No-pressure quote on any follow-up work if you want it

Process

How a project goes

  1. 01

    Book

Tell us which drain you want scoped and what symptoms you're seeing, slow drain, recurring backup, real estate diligence, or basement renovation planning.

  2. 02

    Set up

We arrive with the camera reel, locator and a screen you can watch the run on with us.

  3. 03

    Run the line

Camera goes in at the closest cleanout, runs the length of the line, and we mark anything that matters, root intrusion, sags, joint offsets, breaks.

  4. 04

    Locate

Where there's an issue, we surface-locate it with the wand so you know exactly where the line is and how deep it sits, in case digging is on the table.

  5. 05

    Report

You get the recorded video and a written summary. If repair is needed, the quote is separate and there's no pressure to use us for it.

What you get on every job

License, warranty, written quote. Three things you can hold us to.

Licensed and insured

Licensed Ontario plumber, liability insurance, and WSIB coverage. License number on every invoice, both documents available on request.

Three-month warranty on every job

If the same issue comes back inside three months (same drain, same fixture, same valve), the return visit is included. In writing on every invoice.

Quote in writing before any work starts

Every job is quoted in writing, with parts and labour itemized, before any work begins. The number you agree to is the number on the invoice.

Questions customers ask about drain camera inspection

  1. 01 How much does a service call cost?

A standard residential service call runs $250–$350, which covers the visit and a one- to two-hour repair. Larger work — camera-follow-up drain cleaning, multi-fixture installs, leak repair behind drywall — is quoted on site before any work starts, so the number you agree to is the number on the invoice.

  2. 02 Do you warranty the work?

Yes, three months on every job, residential and commercial. If the same issue comes back inside that window, the return visit is included at no charge. The policy is written on the invoice, applied without argument, and the same on a small repair as it is on a major project.

  3. 03 How soon can you come out?

Most service calls book within two to three business days. Urgent calls (active leak, no working toilet in a single-bathroom home, no hot water) get same-day or next-morning slots when we can route to you. Either way, expect a callback within one business day so we can confirm the time directly.
